10 Nail Trends that you’ll see everywhere in 2022

With the possibility of nail salons opening back up on the 12th of April if coronavirus cases continue to decline – we can admit we are a little bit excited to see everyone again. But because salons have been closed for so long, we’ve had to resort to become experts in doing our own nails.

Due to this many 2021 trends reflect this, just like geometric nail art and muted pinks and light blues. However, many prefer to leave getting their nails done to professionals, that is why we may see plenty of bare, nude nails.

Want to see more trends that we think we will see this year? Here are our top 10!

Indie Nails

On Pinterest searches for ‘indie nails’ are up 21 percent last winter. Indie Nails, is literally about painting something different on each nail. Some nails may be checkered where others may have swirls or a new take on the French manicure.

Velvet Nails

This type of manicure relies on glitter and metallic polish to catch the light to give different colours, it also creates a textured look.

Abstract Organic Shapes

With this type of trend, you want to watch out for muted, monochromatic colours, like burgundies and nudes.

Unique French Manicures

This is perfect for those who want a softer take on nail art, it is different as instead of white tips, we will see more fall monochrome colours.

Shades of Pink

Muted neutral pinks are starting to fade out, and now shades of bubblegum and hot pink are back in.

Coffin Nails

At the moment we see a lot of almond shaped nails, but now it is possible we will see a lot of tapered squared and coffin shaped nails.

Light Blues

Last year the Pantone colour of the year was a blue shade, and it is expected that this trend will continue into 2021.

At Home Manicures

Press on sets have been very popular since the start of the lockdown, and will continue depending on what happens.

Natural Nails

Many people have been using lockdown as a reason to take a break from their gel nails and acrylics to help heal their nails. So, we may see more nail care, like applying cuticle oil.

Bold Designs

It is also predicted that we may see more bolder colours and designs to make your nails stand out more.
